NoLock for Windows Setup Guide
The Windows install uses PowerShell and does not require the macOS SIP or AMFI steps.
Install the current build
Use the command shown on the downloads page from a normal PowerShell session. Read any error text rather than repeatedly running the command.
Confirm compatibility
The current public catalog lists Windows support for Respondus LockDown Browser. Do not infer support for another proctor from the macOS list.
Run a practice quiz
Test the same Canvas and Respondus path the real assessment will use, including sign-in and the optional standalone Autosolver if needed.
Frequently asked questions
Does Windows require SIP or AMFI changes?
No. Those settings are specific to the macOS setup.
